Frequently Asked Questions
Non-anesthetic dental cleaning is a gentle, awake dental service where we manually remove visible plaque and tartar from the surface of your pet’s teeth using professional tools without anesthesia or sedation. It is designed for pets who qualify and can tolerate the process comfortably.
No. This service does not replace a full veterinary dental procedure under anesthesia. Veterinary dental cleanings include dental x-rays, deep cleaning below the gumline, and the ability to perform extractions if needed.
Non-anesthetic cleaning focuses on visible tartar and oral hygiene support for pets who qualify.
Yes
when the pet is an appropriate candidate. Our top priority is safety and comfort. We never force a pet through the service. If your pet becomes too stressed or unsafe to continue, we stop.
The process is designed to be gentle and stress-minimized. However, pets with advanced dental disease can be sensitive. If we notice signs of pain or discomfort, we will pause or discontinue the cleaning and recommend veterinary care.
Most cleanings take 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on tartar level, pet size, and cooperation. Some appointments may be shorter if your pet needs breaks or does not tolerate the service.
No. Without anesthesia we are limited. We focus on visible tartar removal and polishing (if offered).
Deep periodontal cleaning below the gumline requires anesthesia and veterinary equipment.
We do not diagnose medical conditions. We can provide an oral observation and let you know if we see signs that may require a veterinarian (such as severe inflammation, heavy infection, or loose teeth).
No. We do not perform extractions or remove loose teeth. If we observe loose teeth or severe periodontal disease, we will recommend a veterinary dental exam and cleaning under anesthesia.

No worries it happens! Some pets simply cannot tolerate an awake dental cleaning. If your pet becomes too stressed, anxious, or reactive, we may need to stop the service. In those cases, we may recommend a veterinary dental cleaning under anesthesia.
Our approach is calm, patient, and comfort-first. We take breaks and go at your pet’s pace. Every pet is different and we respect that.
We also welcome families who prefer a gentle, low-sensory environment and a kind, inclusive experience.
We strongly recommend pets be up-to-date on routine veterinary care. If your pet has known health conditions or oral pain, it’s best to consult your veterinarian first
We remove tartar and polish when appropriate. Results vary depending on:
- tartar severity
- staining
- tooth structure
- cooperation
Some staining may remain even after tartar is removed.
Sometimes we can improve the appearance, but severe tartar often comes with advanced gum disease that may require anesthesia dental cleaning and extractions. We will always prioritize safety and recommend the best option for your pet.
Yes tartar can return over time. The best way to slow it down is:
- regular dental cleanings (maintenance)
- brushing at home
- dental chews / vet-approved products
- quality diet & routine vet care

Our Reviews
Posted on Felicia DanielsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Adriana did an amazing job with my girl Bella and had some great advice to offer to keep her teeth in better shape. I was worried that Bella’s typical poor social skills would make her difficult, but apparently she was an angel. She wasn’t able to take care of my second dog because she developed an abscess the night before and was in pain, but Adriana still gave advice on how to treat her while I work on getting her to a vet. Thank you again and 10/10 recommended service!Posted on Gidalsy RiveraTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Convenient, informative and efficient.
